I did some work on my replica of the Unstoppable Force today and after one failed attempt it is comming along pretty well. The first one I made was too big and the wood glue I used just was not setting up on such dense foam. Anyway much better the second time around!

I didn't think my sewing machine and I were going to make it, but after a desperate struggle I am happy to annouce that I finnished the armor for my kyoshi warrior costume. And it looks BAD ASS! I must admit Im pretty damn proud of myself.
I would do a step by step of how I did everything, but I forgot to take pictures along the way. I did however save al the pattern pieces that I made, though I hope I wont have to do this agian for a very long time.

Great Success!
So I realized that I had a lot more vinal than I had thought so if figured, "what the heck Im just going to go with what I have and see what happens. It could work and if it does then I'll have saved my self a lot of extra work and if it doesnt work then I was going to make a practice one anyway."
And it worked!
Turned out my measurments weren't off and everything went great! Its a tad bit bumpy in some spots but nothing I cant live with. Im so stoked! Now its on to the paldrons and skirt flaps, then the skirt and I'm done!

So I decided to sew in the zipper just for grins because I thought that the problem might be just that Jesse wasnt lining things up right when he was trying to hold the fabric closed. Anyway when I did that and tried it on it fit great! I am going to need a longer zipper though and I think I want to get one that comes completly appart because the one I have stays closed at the end when unzipped. Still Im not sure if I want to just procede as planned now, or if I want to practice a bit more first. As of right now Im fairly confident that my design is going to work, but damn vinal isn't cheap.
